Terms & Conditions
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS REFER TO AEGEAN FLAVOURS’ FOOD & CULTURE HOLIDAYS HEREINAFTER CALLED “THE COMPANY”.
The objective of the present terms and conditions is to fix the respective obligations between the travel company Aegean Flavours and the customer in their contractual relations responding to the sale of travel services. The registration entrains the support of the customer in our terms of sale and the unconditional acceptance of their measures.
The constituent elements of the services supplied on the occasion of our vacations are determined on the pages of a web site.
The published price lists (rates) are established on current tariff data on the date of publication and establishment of the contract. We reserve the right to modify them, whatever is the date of registration. In any case, no modification can intervene less than a month before the date of the beginning of the holidays. Our prices are calculated in a fixed way and based on a certain number of overnight stays and not days. This derives from the modifications of schedules of arrival or of return that are commanded by the airline and/or maritime companies. If the first and/or the last day were shortened by a late arrival or a morning departure, no compensation is provided. On certain dates, we can propose promotions. We inform our clients that the promotions have no retroactive effect with regard to the already registered customers having paid the normal price.
Article 3-PAYMENT AND BOOKING
Any registration must be necessarily accompanied by a non-refundable deposit per person at the time of booking which will not be accepted without such a deposit being made. However, we will hold a provisional booking without payment for five working days only. The balance is payable four weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. If the balance remains unpaid at the time, Aegean Flavours reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain any deposits paid in respect thereof. The company cannot accept responsibility for any cancellations or effects on your package due to war, the threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorists’ activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, or adverse and extreme weather conditions that result in the cessation of scheduled activities. The payments are to be made as bank transfers (any possible banking charges are paid by the customer). We accept credit cards too.
The indicated classifications correspond to the official standards of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, which are different from standards of the other countries. The triple rooms are double rooms in which we add a bed.
Article 5- MODIFICATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER BEFORE THE DEPARTURE
Any modifications imposed (different type of room etc.) by the customer bring a 30€ charge for the customer. Cancellation must be made in writing/E-mailing to Aegean Flavours. Any such notice will become effective from the date of receipt by the company. The customer not having paid the balance on the agreed date must be considered as having canceled his/her holiday, and he/she cannot take any advantage of this belated cancellation. The expenses of the cancellation will then be retained according to the conditions of article 6.
Article 6-CANCELLATIONS ON CUSTOMER’S BEHALF
For all courses your 30% deposit is non-refundable. Final payment is normally due 40 days prior to departure. If you cancel after the final payment deadline, the following schedule applies:
- 25 to 40 days – 50% of total price is non-refundable
- 40 days – departure 100% of total price is non-refundable
Once the week has commenced there will be no refunds on unused portions. Cancellations due to medical reasons can be covered by travel insurance (which we recommend all our guests purchase from their provider of choice).
Article 7-MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION FROM THE COMPANY AEGEAN FLAVOURS
In the case of cancellation, of the paid by the customer holiday package, you will obtain an immediate refund of the total amount paid. The customer seeks no compensation if the cancellation is due to unexpected forces or conditions that cannot guarantee the safety of the customer.
Article 8- RESPONSIBILITY
Aegean Flavours is responsible for the good execution of the obligations resulting from the contract. However, for the execution of our contracts, we appeal to various service providers. Consequently, the company is not liable for any misperception caused by its business partners who must be fully responsible for the services they provide. The company accepts no responsibility for any cancellations or lack of the services that must be offered by its business partners, due to war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse and extreme weather conditions that result in the cessation of our partners’ activities (such as hotels). The sold rooms are within the responsibility of the hotel. As a consequence, we are not liable for the case of personal baggage loss, theft, accidental loss, or damage to property in the accommodation. We do not take responsibility for luggage lost in transit whilst the responsibility of the airline. Where possible, we will provide advice and assistance in seeking to retrieve any luggage lost. Furthermore, it is up to the client to respect the internal rules of the hotels in which he/she stays. Objects or personal belongings of the customer remain placed under his/her responsibility during all the duration of their journey unless they are placed in safe boxes. Aegean Flavours accepts no responsibility for any problems arising from encounters with local animal life, such as dogs. Of course, we shall make an effort to protect clients at all times, given the rural setting in which they will find themselves.
Article 9-OPTIONAL INSURANCE
Aegean Flavours advises that you take out holiday insurance before the departure date. This should cover full medical expenses, cancellation by you as a result of illness or injury, third party liability, and legal expenses. It is optional.
We advise you to make sure you respect the formalities of police, customs and ethics at the destination. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary travel documents with you such as visa and passport.
